Urban Decay NAKED PALETTE Open Package Review/ First Look!!

So so so. Yep I'm super excited to have picked up the Urban Decay Naked Palette after waiting what seems like a billion years late! I had a lot of mac and drug store dupes so I was kinda iffy about dropping $48 for this set. This morning I finally broke down at Ulta and picked it up.

My naked palette and Baby Primer Potion!

This is going to be a short review since everyone and their mom has done reviews on it.

The packaging is so extravagant and elegant looking. I love the purple velvet on the packaging and the colors on the actual palette( brown velvet and gold colored font) really give you an idea of what color eye shadows you'll be getting.

There are TWELVE neutral shadow colors, from matte to shimmer/sparkle to satin. All twelve, even the matte shades are very pigmented (especially half baked!).  My favorite color is probably...side car or half baked. I guess I love me some shimmer sparkle ;].

The "second edition" palettes come with the brush instead of the two eyeliners from the original Naked Palette. I guess they couldn't make the eyeliners as fast as they were selling the palettes, so they are including the eyeshadow brush instead.  The brush seems okay, maybe not my cup of tea but what's another brush to your makeup collection? Also, this was my first time trying the UD Eyeshadow Primer Potion, pictured above. I'm a Too Faced Shadow Insurance kinda-girl and I was kinda iffy on this product but nonetheless, I tried it and so far the quality is good. I just don't like the sponge tip applicator.  I will do a more in-depth review of the Primer Potion when I get a chance...I think.

The Look:

So for my first look with the palette I used the Primer potion and Virgin, Naked, Half Baked, Hustle and Creep. On the lid I used hustle then along the eyelash line, I used creep. In the crease I used naked, and on the browbone and inner corner of the eye I used virgin.  On the bottom lash line I lined the waterline with a Milani Liquifeye eye liner and from the UD palette I used half baked to line the inner half and creep on the outer half. Wispy Eyelashes and some Mascara= this look.
Five-Head I know!

Yep. That's the look I did! :]

I'm in love with this palette.
Let me know your thoughts and such. :]

Happy Sunday. <3
